Atmospheric scientist to assess the global distribution, intra- and inter-annual variability, and long-term trends of ozone and water vapour in the troposphere, in the stratosphere and at their interface.
The work will consist in supporting the activities of the Planetary Atmospheres group and in particular, those related to the characterization of the composition of the atmosphere using space instruments.
In the framework of the FED-tWIN program, the royal Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (BIRA-IASB) and the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) associate their expertise in a new project called “Radiative transfer in planetary atmospheres of celestial bodies, including (exo)planets and moons”, i.e. RT-MOLEXO.
There is an opening for a PhD scholarship within the Stratospheric Modelling Team of the Royal Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (BIRA-IASB).
